I Have Been Given These Great Promises
Dr RJ Sing
“And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.”
Grace and peace are yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ your Lord. Through His Divine Power, you have been given all things that pertain unto life and Godliness. All wonderful things has been bestowed upon you through deep and personal knowledge of Him who has called you into His own Glory and goodness. “He carries out and fulfills all of God's promises, no matter how many of them there are; and we have told everyone how faithful He is, giving glory to His name.” 2 Corinthians 1:20.
In Jesus, all of God’s great and precious Promises have been given to you personally. Through these Promises, you have become a partaker of His Divine Nature and have escaped the corruption in the world. “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 – NKJV. So, as Born-Again Son/Daughter of God:
- You have been given all things that pertain unto life and Godliness.
- You now have a deep and personal knowledge of Him who has called you. How is this so? By the Word of God and His Spirit.
- You have entered into His own Glory and goodness and
- All of His great and precious Promises are applied to you.
