Partnership letter
God wants to be involved in Your Finances
From the desk of Pastor Sing
Dear Partner, I am so glad to have the opportunity to write to you. I want to first of all, take this opportunity to thank you and your family for being so diligent and prompt in your giving unto the Lord’s work. You have sown your Tithes and Offerings, Pledges, Building funds, Priestly offerings etc. and now that you have sown seed on the ground, it has no alternative but to break forth and yield a total Blessing in your life. This Blessing comes in many forms, but more than that, it can come into your hands in a way different to what you have anticipated.
Firstly, thank you for being obedient to the Lord and secondly for being committed whole heartedly to the local vision of our church, Rhema Family Church, Durban. This is your spiritual home and as you sow, demand your breakthroughs and the things the devil is trying to keep away from you. You certainly have our agreement in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
This month I would like to share with you on the subject of: God wants to be involved in Your Finances
Throughout the Bible, we see that God has a lot to say about finances. The currency of the Old Testament was Silver, Gold, Land and Crops, and Herds of Animals. Investments were barns filled with hay and store houses filled with grain for sowing and feeding herds. “Now Abram was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold” – Genesis 13:2 AMP. This was a form of currency used at that time. Today we use paper money, credit cards and electronic banking, but the results are the same as we trade it for what we need.
Abraham listed to God, and God Blessed and Prospered him. He learned the spiritual principals of prosperity first hand. God wanted to be involved in Abrahams finances, and He wants to be involved in yours. Let us look at some fundamental principles of Abrahams Prosperity.
- He listened and obeyed God.
Genesis 12:1-4 NKJV “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” 4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.”
- He honored God, Who prospered him.
Genesis 12:7 NKJV “Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.”
- He was generous and avoided strife.
Genesis 13:5-9 NKJV “Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. 6 Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. 7 And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land. 8 So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.”
- He was compassionate towards others.
Genesis 18:24-33 NKJV “Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? 25 Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” 26 So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” 27 Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: 28 Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So, He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.” 29 And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?” So, He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.” 30 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So, He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” 31 And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So, He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.” 32 Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” 33 So the Lord went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.”
If you want God to be involved in your finances and prosper you, you must honor these basic principles. You cannot be greedy and want to prosper. Giving to God and being generous to others is a part of the spiritual war.
- Proverbs 11:24-25 AMP “There are those who [generously] scatter abroad, and yet increase more; there are those who withhold more than is fitting or what is justly due, but it results only in want. 25 The liberal person shall be enriched, and he who waters shall himself be watered.”
- Proverbs 3:9-10 AMP “Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income; 10 So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine.”
We love you very much and are consistently praying for your Progress, Success and Promotion. I decree that you will experience unending favor in all of your endeavors this month and may the God of Grace expand your territory in Jesus Name! May God richly Bless you and your family.Dr. Roshan and Dr. Zubeda Sing.
