Application of the God Kind of Faith – Part 2

“But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Faith will not work in an unforgiving heart – Mark 11:25-26. Love must be the dominating, motivating force behind all operations of faith and love is the power charge behind the God kind of faith. Faith is in the heart and not the head – Romans 10:8-10. With the heart, man believes. The inward man has nothing to do with the mind or the body concerning believing. Satan may put doubt in a person’s mind, but the Word will put faith in the heart and the spirit man becomes dominant through the Word – Acts 20:32.
Faith must be released through the mouth with words, because heart faith is based on the Word, not on feelings. Faith based on feelings will lead to spiritual ruin. Faith also works by painting it or by saying it – Jesus raised the boy at Nain without prayer. This faith will always work for you. Sometimes it will work for others through you. A person has a will of his own, but in the case of newborn Christians you can use your faith for them most of the time.
