We Think God Didn't Move, but He's Moving: Healing Testimonies

Dr RJ Sing, 14 June 2020, 12 min

Originally preached as “Healing Testimonies, June 2020”

Sermon outline

God is present and still moving to heal His people: when the healing anointing enters a person, the spirit that brought the sickness has to leave and the healing manifests, so people should come hungry and come back to testify.

Opening

The reel opens with people who were healed after the Tuesday meetings giving God the glory. A man tells how, after years of suffering, he received the word that 'the word needs to speak to your sickness' and has been well for three weeks, and a young woman tells how she came determined not to let the day be wasted.

  1. When the healing anointing enters you

As the young woman tells her story, he stops to explain why people need to be taught: when the healing anointing enters you, the evil spirit that brought the sickness on your body is ejected and you see the manifestation of healing. He tells the church she visited only the week before and was healed, and that this is no figment of her imagination: the Spirit of God healed her, which means God is present.

Illustration: The young woman describes being struck down under the power of God and lying on the floor, unable to get up, while he was still praying for her.

“When the healing anointing enters you, then the evil spirit that's come upon your body with sickness is ejected, and then you immediately see the manifestation of healing.”

  2. See, she is hungry

He prays over her that a new anointing is coming on her, so that when she lays hands on the sick they will recover. He points to her hunger for God and says the church rejoices when God heals people: we do not understand the full extent of what people suffer, but God in His mercy and grace loves people.

“We rejoice when God heals people.”

    • Mark 16:18
  3. Release her now

In the healing line he commands the spirit of darkness that brought the sickness on a woman to release her in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He sets her foot free, declares the pain and the stiffness gone and the blood flowing through every vessel, then has her look at him, move her leg and walk while the people give her space.

Illustration: He asks her where the pain is, and she answers that it is gone.

“Every vessel is now flowing with blood in Jesus' name.”

  4. He's moving

A woman testifies that she can now live without the support she had depended on for almost two years. He asks when she first came, and she says she came twice and was there on New Year's Eve. He tells the church that people often come and go without giving feedback, so we think God did not move, but He is moving.

“And we think God didn't move. He's moving.”

  5. These hands

He takes her hands and declares that from now on, when she prays for the sick, they are going to be healed. The reel ends as he asks a young woman about her work and her mother's story, and it cuts off mid-conversation.

“When you pray for the sick from now, they are going to be healed.”

Putting it into practice

  • Come hungry for your healing and do not let the day be wasted.
  • Be taught the Word, so you understand how the healing anointing works.
  • Come back and testify, so people know God is moving.
  • Lay hands on the sick and pray, expecting them to recover.

Closing

The reel ends in the middle of his conversation with a young woman about her mother, without a closing prayer.

In his words

  • “When the healing anointing enters you, then the evil spirit that's come upon your body with sickness is ejected.”

  • “We rejoice when God heals people.”
  • “God, in His mercy, in His grace, He loves people.”
