He Has Called You (Part 4)
Dr RJ Sing
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].”
Thus far we have looked at Three wonderful things in this scripture. Firstly, you are to be perfected, Secondly you are to be established and thirdly you are to be strengthened.
Now at this point we will deal with the fourth thing and that is: God wants you settled. The dictionary defines settled as: To put in place in position or into a specified state or condition, to put in order, to be formed into a firm rigid state, to adjust, to establish, to arrange in a particular fashion or to be given a particular direction or to leave in one place so that it may prove, etc.
What does it mean to be settled? It means that you know that you are in union with His will. You are established in the knowledge of it. It is an eternal work of righteousness, until by the Spirit you are perfected. All this takes place by your faith. All this happens as you believe God.
This is when one is in a place with God that he/she does not look back. You make up your mind to press forward. This is where you are established in Him and you always face true North. No matter the circumstances or trials in life always know that you are loved.
